The Thomas Road Bagelfelds had a fire in the ceiling and the damage is significant enough that we have to close. We don't have an answer for when we reopen Bagelfelds in Phoenix.

"I was trying to put into words today what I was feeling because you (Charlie) have a million things with it on your mind so I was thinking of you. And you were mainly thinking of your employees livelihoods. And meanwhile all of our customers are thinking of us. We wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for them, and here we are when we aren’t even there, and they are still here for us. It is so touching and makes us really realize, yes we just do bagels, but there is more here than just bagels, there is a lot of love"

We are raising money to keep staff working and paid as we figure out the next steps. There is some insurance but when and how much is paid is unknown at this time. We are taking a huge loss of daily sales and cash flow. We have expenses related to cleaning out of the Thomas space and need to make things safe. We will do our best to increase production at the Tempe Shop to support our Wholesale Vendors.

On another track we are actively looking for empty restaurant kitchen space to quickly get bagels going in central phoenix.
