Help Bacon Recover This Christmas
Donation protected
Hello all, my name is Clara and my dog is Bacon. He just turned 5 years old Sunday, December 22. He decided to eat a Santa rug last week, where he then started acting lethargic and refusing food/vomiting if he did try to eat.
We brought him to the vet tonight (December 23) and had him X-Rayed, which showed the strings from the rug sitting in his small intestine. The veterinarian told us he needs emergency surgery/an exploratory laparotomy because he cannot naturally get rid of the string he decided to consume…
Long story short, we are located in Boston and it’s the holiday season. Our only option is to go to the Emergency Veterinary Hospital, with an estimate price of $7,000 to $9,000 to perform the surgery. I am reaching out in hopes that our dog community could help us pay these bills. Bacon is the sweetest dog, my first dog who helped me get through Covid and tougher times as a very good/needy emotional support companion… if you’ve met Bacon before, you know him as the most cuddly puppy ever.
If you read all of this, thank you so much. If you’re also going through hard times this holiday season, we appreciate your thoughts and prayers as well.
