Support Families Impacted by the Recent Storms in Bacolod City, Philippines
In the wake of the recent devastating storms that swept across the Philippines, countless families in Bacolod City and surrounding areas in Negros Occidental have lost their homes, belongings, and livelihoods. Many are struggling to find food, clean water, and shelter as they begin the long process of rebuilding their lives.
Bacolod—famously known as the City of Smiles—has always been a place of warmth, resilience, and community. But today, many smiles have been dimmed by loss and hardship.
As someone who calls Bacolod home, it’s heartbreaking to see the widespread damage our community is enduring. I am raising funds to provide direct relief to affected families and to support local nonprofit organizations that are actively leading relief and rebuilding efforts on the ground.
How Your Donation Will Help
All funds raised will be used to:
• Provide immediate relief supplies such as food, clean water, and basic necessities to displaced families
• Offer direct financial assistance to families we personally know who have lost homes or livelihoods
• Support local nonprofits dedicated to disaster response and long-term recovery in Bacolod and surrounding communities
I am currently based in the United States, and all funds will be withdrawn to a U.S. account before being transferred directly to support relief efforts in the Philippines—both to families in need and to trusted local organizations assisting with recovery. Transparency and accountability are a top priority throughout this process.
We recognize that not everyone may be in a position to give, and that’s okay. Any amount—no matter how small—is deeply appreciated and will go a long way in helping families and communities recover. Even sharing this fundraiser helps spread awareness and hope.
Together, we can help Bacolod and the people of Negros recover, rebuild, and smile again.
With gratitude,
Monica
