This fundraiser is to help cover the ongoing medical expenses for a beautiful and brave 15 month old special-needs puppy named Babygirl, who was found struggling to survive on the streets of India and brought to Canada by her mom Alisha Verma for a chance at life. Babygirl's diagnoses: Neosporosis- a parasitic infection that damaged her spinal cord, weakened her back legs, and took her ability to control her bowels, leading to fecal incontinence.

She is still FULL of life and puppy energy, but she battles extreme stiffness in her hind legs, knuckling of her paw, and recently survived a terrifying episode of severe constipation that required four days in the hospital.

Babygirl’s pre-existing conditions disqualify her from most pet insurance claims. All costs are covered out of pocket by her mom, Alisha. As many of you may know, Aliesha is facing significant health and financial hardships. At the same time, she is doing everything she can to care for Babygirl and is in urgent need of your support.

Babygirl's Medical History and Miracle

At her initial neurology appointment, Babygirl was given a poor prognosis, with doctors saying she would likely never walk again and that euthanasia could be an option to consider. Alisha immediately turned down the idea and would never give up on Babygirl. After just 2-3 weeks of treatment, Babygirl defied the odds and surprised everyone by starting to walk. Today she RUNS. Her determination is nothing short of miraculous!

Babygirl's Rescue Story

Babygirl was found as a crippled baby, struggling to survive on the streets alongside her two sisters. She would not have made it on her own for long. After multiple failed attempts at local adoption, Alisha, a devoted animal lover and rescuer, brought Babygirl and her sisters all the way to Canada.
