Dear friends, family, and compassionate strangers,

I’m reaching out to you with a heavy heart on behalf of my best friend, who has been through more than most of us can imagine. My friend lives in Angola and has struggled with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) for years. This condition has made it incredibly difficult for her to conceive, and after several painful losses, she finally received the joyous news that she was pregnant.

However, this pregnancy was far from easy. Due to medical complications, she had to undergo an emergency C-section at just 27 weeks. Baby Zee, her precious little one, was born prematurely and is currently in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Baby Zee has shown incredible strength but will need to remain in the NICU for at least two more months to grow and gain strength.

As you may know, healthcare in Angola is not free, and the costs are overwhelming. My friend has already been billed £1,000 per day for Baby Zee’s care, amounting to £14,000 so far. But the fight isn’t over—she still needs an additional £33,000 to keep Baby Zee in the NICU and ensure she receives the life-saving care she needs.

My friend is one of the strongest people I know, but this financial burden is too much for her to bear alone. That’s why I’m reaching out to you—our community, our friends, and anyone with a kind heart. Every little bit helps.
