Meet little Zainab, a beautiful one-year-old girl in Nigeria who is courageously battling a serious congenital heart condition called a Complete Atrioventricular Canal Defect — a large hole in her heart that is making it difficult for her tiny body to breathe and grow normally.

Zainab was born with Down syndrome, and despite her challenges, she continues to fight every single day with strength and innocence no child should have to carry. Recently, she was admitted to the hospital with severe breathing difficulties, cough, fever, and pneumonia caused by the strain on her heart and lungs.

Doctors have confirmed that she urgently needs cardiac surgery to repair the hole in her heart. Without this life-saving operation, her condition may continue to worsen.

Her parents are doing everything they can, but the cost of surgery, medications, hospital care, tests, oxygen, and ongoing treatment is far beyond what the family can afford. They are now reaching out with hope, faith, and humility, asking kind-hearted people around the world to help save their daughter’s life.
