Help Baby Winslow’s Fight: Urgent Support Needed

Donation protected
I'm writing this on behalf of my sister, her husband, and their beautiful family—because right now, they need our help more than ever.

Their sweet baby, Winslow, has endured more in her short life than any child should. At just two years old, she's been experiencing up to 81 seizures a day since she was six months old. She's unable to roll over, crawl, or sit up on her own, spending the past year and a half being held constantly because her body simply can't support her.

When her condition is at its worst, there are hours when her tiny body is hijacked by a seizure every 2 minutes. Imagine trying to grow when your brain is constantly resetting itself, when pain and confusion interrupt every moment. These seizures have taken so much from her: her sleep, her ability to digest food properly, her comfort, and her chance to thrive.

At her age, most little girls are running, climbing, babbling in short sentences, feeding themselves, and expressing their personalities with joy and curiosity. But for Winslow, none of these milestones have stuck. She has never retained rolling over, crawling, or sitting up on her own. She can't speak or even show us what she needs because her body and brain haven't had the chance to develop as they should.

There have been moments when Winslow began to master siting up and rolling over …progress that filled us with hope. However, each time her seizures intensify, she loses these hard-won skills, leaving her unable to maintain any developmental progress. This heartbreaking cycle of gaining and then losing abilities underscores the critical need for effective treatment during this vital developmental window.

Over the last 18 months, my sister and her husband have fought tirelessly for answers. They've pursued every specialist, endured countless medical tests, and accumulated tens of thousands of dollars in medical bills, as many treatments and evaluations haven't been covered by insurance.

Recently, after numerous tests, they discovered that Winslow is suffering from severe mold toxicity—a condition contributing to her seizures and developmental delays. It was confirmed that severe mold was present in their home, making it unsafe for Winslow. Tragically, the family must now discard most of their belongings due to contamination and start over, all while caring for their other children.

In addition to this, they've had to leave their home in the Northwest and are temporarily living over 1,000 miles away to seek specialized treatment for Winslow. The family is doing everything they can, but time is of the essence.

This month, they've finally begun to see signs of a breakthrough in Winslow's treatment—early glimpses of hope after nearly two years of relentless searching. However, the costs of continuing this specialized out-of-state treatment are quickly adding up.

The first few years of life, especially the first three, are when the brain undergoes its most critical development. Right now is a crucial window for Winslow. With the right therapies, treatments, and environment, we have a chance to make a lasting impact on her neurological development. But time is running out; she's already two years old, and this window is rapidly closing.

This is why I'm asking for help. Every dollar donated will go directly toward:
  •  Medical expenses (past and ongoing)
  • Specialized therapies
  • Safe housing
  • Mold remediation
  • Replacing basic necessities after mold contamination
  • Round-the-clock care that this little girl needs
  • Supporting their other children through this difficult time

If you can give even $20, please know it will make a real difference. If you're in a position to give more, our family would deeply appreciate your generosity and loving support.

If you cannot contribute financially, please consider sharing this page or keeping our family in your prayers. It means the world to baby Winslow.

Thank you for reading, thank you for caring, and thank you for being part of this fight.

 With love and gratitude,
Stephanie K.
