Dear friends, family, and compassionate supporters,

We are reaching out with an urgent plea for our sweet baby nephew, Wesley Greer Cook. At just 8 weeks old, Wesley is already facing the fight of his life against neuroblastoma, an aggressive form of cancer.

Wesley’s battle began even before he was born. Doctors discovered a tumor during a routine scan late in pregnancy, and after his birth, they closely monitored its growth. When he was 5 weeks old, Wesley underwent surgery to remove the tumor. But during the procedure, doctors found lesions on his liver. Further testing confirmed our worst fears—the cancer has spread.

Now, Wesley is set to begin eight rounds of chemotherapy starting tomorrow. While we are holding onto hope, there is a major financial burden standing in our way:

The immune-supporting medication Wesley needs after each chemo session is NOT covered by our provincial healthcare system. Each round of this medication costs thousands of dollars, and we are estimating his full course of treatment will cost at least $16,000—not including any unforeseen medical expenses.
