Help Baby Waylon's Fight for Life

On 01/23/2025, my grandson, Waylon James Hunter, was taken to the hospital. Waylon is not yet 3 months old. He came into the world a fighter, born 7 weeks early, on 10/30/2024. It was clear then he is a FIGHTER. But right now, our little fighter is struggling and being transported 4 hours from home to Children’s Hospital in Nashville. He needs surgery to repair a herniated diaphragm which has allowed his organs to move into the chest wall compressing the lungs. During the early morning hours, he took a turn for the worse. Needless to say, today has been a struggle

for his parents, Christian and Haley Hunter, as they watch their 2-month-old fight for life and then have to make the choice to transport their infant son on a several-hour ride that they have been warned he may not survive but is necessary as a last chance to save him.

They do not know where he is bleeding from. They aren’t sure of a whole lot. What we do know is that we have a GLORIOUS GOD! And a HEALING GOD… We also know that in these times of medical emergency, for young families with two little ones, a medical emergency is devastating, especially financially. And when they have to deal with a very critical medical emergency for such a young baby, they will be beyond stressed and in need of more support than they know how to ask for.

We know it takes a village sometimes, and this is one of those times. This family is going to be out of work, hours away from home, dealing with medical, travel, and other expenses in excess of their regular bills and caring for their other toddler, Beau.

So I am creating this account to ask for help for them. We can be their tribe, their village. I appreciate all of you. Thank you in advance for any financial support and most definitely for your prayers!

UPDATE: 

Waylon is healing “faster than imagined” per his nurse. He is eating again. And now we wait for more progress. He is such a fighter! And definitely our miracle. God has been gracious and he is healing Waylon.
