Last year Cooper and Kassandra found out they were pregnant with a baby boy they lovingly named Maverick Gray. Sadly in January of this year they lost Maverick.

With the love and support of their family and friends Cooper and Kassandra continued to try for a baby. In May, they were blessed with their rainbow baby.

Kassandra was labeled high risk and had many appointments in which they assured her that the baby was growing and healthier then ever. With the additional appointments Kassandra had to leave her job to accommodate these appointments. Not knowing a few weeks later Thiago would make his entrance.

Last week Kassandra went in for a stress test as she wasn’t feeling the baby move as much. Once the doctors noticed the baby’s heart rate falling quickly, they transported her to Beth Israel in Boston.

Once Kassandra arrived, the babies heart rate continued to drop while showing signs of distress. The doctors decided it wasn’t safe to keep him in any longer and baby Thiago Walker was born on 11/7/22 at 11:43pm 2lbs 13” inches.

With Thiago being born 13 weeks early Cooper and Kassandra have a long road ahead of them before they can take their baby home. Thiago will be in Boston and Cooper and Kassandra will be making trips down. Fundraising will go towards gas, hotel room, food and medical bills.
