Hi, my name is Gina Rayburn and I’m reaching out on behalf of my niece Heather and her brave baby boy Truett. Truett is medically fragile and will be a special needs child. He is only three months old and has chronic lung disease, a G-tube, a tracheostomy with a ventilator, and some brain anomalies. He is also immune-compromised, making cleanliness and infection control extremely important. Truett will require 24/7 home health nursing care to ensure his safety and well-being. He may still not be home by Christmas, making support during the season even more critical. This is a difficult time for the family because recently Heather lost her job and is working tirelessly to find a remote position so she can care for her boys while providing for their family. With the holidays approaching, she is worried that her children may miss out on the joys that every child deserves, like Christmas meals, medical care, bills, groceries, gas, medical expenses, daily care, and Christmas gifts for her boys. Heather is trying to keep life as normal as possible for her boys, and it has been incredibly challenging.
