Help Kate & Baby Through a High-Risk Delivery & NICU Stay
Hi everyone,
I’m currently in the hospital, where I’ll remain until delivery due to a high-risk pregnancy. I’ve been diagnosed with several serious complications, including placenta increta (a form of placenta accreta where the placenta grows into the uterine muscle) and complete placenta previa, meaning the placenta fully covers the cervix.
There is also significant involvement of major blood vessels, which increases the risk of bleeding during delivery.
Because of these risks, I’ll be delivering early—no later than 34 weeks—via a planned C-section with hysterectomy. I’ll be under general anesthesia, and our baby will require resuscitation and a NICU stay after birth.
We’re incredibly grateful to be in the care of an experienced high-risk team, but this journey brings a lot of emotional, physical, and financial strain.
This fundraiser will help cover:
• Out-of-pocket medical expenses for surgery and NICU
• Time away from work during extended hospitalization and recovery
• NICU-related costs (travel, meals, daily needs)
• Postpartum care, therapy, and support for our family
We want to be transparent: all donations will go directly toward our family’s medical and recovery costs. Even if you’re not able to give, sharing this page or sending love and encouragement makes a real difference.
Thank you for walking this road with us.
With love and gratitude,
Kate + Family
