Hello everyone,
After 32 weeks into pregnancy, my cousin June had to give birth 2 months prematurely to her baby boy, Storm.

June was denied entry into the first and second hospital she visited to as she lacked an RT-PCR test despite being vaccinated. On January 14th, she was admitted into a private hospital which had incubators - essential for pre-term deliveries.
The doctors at the hospital spent two days attempting to prevent June from giving birth. Unfortunately, June was tested positive for COVID-19 and two days after admittance - the morning of January 16th - her coughing triggered her contractions. After several hours into labor, the doctors decided she needed to undergo a caesarian section. Then, on January 16, 2022 at 6:30 PM, baby Storm was born.

Since June was tested positive for COVID, the doctors had to assume baby Storm was positive until proven otherwise. As a result, baby Storm had to be put into an incubator as he was two months premature and will still need to warmth with breathing tubes to help bathe him in life-giving oxygen. He also needs to be isolated from the nursery which requires two private nurses; adding onto the already towering hospital bill.

The bills for baby Storm alone are tremendous. Storm will undergo an RT-PCR later this afternoon and if he tests positive, the payment will be ₱25,000 ($500) per day. If he is negative, it will be ₱20,000 ($400) per day for the next 2 months. The hospital collects payment every 3 days and it is to be expected to be paid in cash.
June and her husband, Shaun are both employed and are hard-working individuals, however; their medical insurance and their current savings have been depleted to cover the caesarian section and COVID condition which already amounted to ₱250,000 or $5,000. They are in dire need to cover the upcoming hospital bills for Storm for his survival. For this reason, we are reaching out for help through the GoFundMe platform. Any form of help would be deeply appreciated and would greatly contribute to Baby Storm's survival. Thank you for your kind heart.
