Help Baby Sophia with NICU Care Support

**Hello friends,**

We're thrilled to share that our daughter, Sophia, arrived last night!

However, her birth was via emergency C-section. Asmee, my wife, was losing blood, leading us to decide on an emergency procedure on October 2 at 9:30 PM IST.

Sophia, born slightly premature at 36 weeks, has been transferred to the NICU due to her breathing pattern. On October 3, her pediatrician discovered that her lungs are partially collapsed—expected for a premature baby, but it still requires immediate attention. She remains in the NICU as she receives treatment, and we'll check her lungs again tomorrow.

Asmee is recovering well, though she's not too thrilled with the hospital food!

While we’re grateful for a successful operation, the emergency C-section and NICU stay come with unexpected and significant costs. The final hospital bill is yet to be determined, but we estimate it will be between $3,500 and $5,500. So far, we've raised $570. This GoFundMe aims to reach out to our broader network for support.

Living in India means the costs are lower than in the US, but we don’t have health insurance for these procedures.
