On December 10, 2025, my 11-week-old granddaughter Selah was rushed to the ER after her parents, Colton and Hannah, noticed she was having seizures. After being admitted to the hospital and undergoing several days of thorough testing, it was confirmed that Selah is experiencing two different types of seizures: focal tonic seizures and the more serious infantile spasms. The doctors also discovered that she has a condition called polymicrogyria, a rare brain disorder caused by abnormal brain development before birth. While this condition cannot be changed, her medical team is working hard to manage her seizures and provide the best care possible. Additionally, Selah has an arachnoid cyst on another part of her brain, which will be monitored but is currently of minimal concern.
Selah is surrounded by a loving family and a dedicated medical team, but her parents are facing significant challenges. The uncertainty of her condition means ongoing appointments, treatments, and the need for constant care. Colton and Hannah are doing everything they can to support Selah, but the financial burden of medical bills, lost wages from missed work, and the unknowns ahead are overwhelming.
We are reaching out to our community for help. Your generosity will allow Selah's parents to focus on what truly matters—being present with their daughter and giving her every opportunity to thrive. Any amount you can give is deeply appreciated, and even sharing this fundraiser or keeping Selah in your prayers means the world to us. Thank you for considering helping sweet Selah and her family.
