Baby Saylen’s Medical Fund

Hi, my name is Stephanie and I am creating this fundraiser for the sweetest boy, Saylen Steen. Saylen’s dad is Ryan Steen, his mom is Paige Steen, and his older brother is Slade Steen. Paige is my closest friend. 

Saylen is a young 2 months old. Throughout his short time, earth side, he has shown us how resilient and strong his little body is. He is a fighter. 

I’m sure I speak for everyone when I say that our hearts go out to the family, as, the joy of the arrival of their son Saylen has been met with an ongoing series of medical trauma. Due to a continuous build up of fluid around baby Saylen’s brain he has had multiple stays in pediatric ER, numerous visits to infant specialists, a stay in the ICU, and, most recently, brain surgery (due to a continuous build up of fluid around baby Saylen’s brain). As this is being posted, the family is awaiting word of Saylen’s need for a second brain operation. The road ahead is feared to be filled with many obstacles but his health and wellness are of upmost priority. The discovery of his hydrocephalus will encumber this family with exponential medical expenses. While they are grateful to have insurance, the cost of routine visits to specialists, test, future treatments, possible operations, and medication are a heavy weight to bear on their own. 

Help us rally around the Steen family as they face some of the scariest and uncertain days, weeks, and months ahead. My goal is to come together and take some of the financial burden off of them so they can focus on getting Saylen back to health. Ryan and Paige are very grateful.
