Help Baby Santiago Fight Hydronephrosis – Every Dollar Count
Donation protected
Santiago is 6 months old and was born with hydronephrosis, a condition that causes swelling in the kidneys due to fluid buildup. Sadly, it was not detected in time. His parents started noticing that something wasn’t right—his mom saw that he was not having wet diapers at night, which is unusual for a baby. When she brought it up to doctors, they told her it might be normal and suggested giving him more water.
Then came the fevers, the vomiting, and endless nights of worry. What was first diagnosed as a simple UTI turned out to be hydronephrosis grade 3, a more serious stage that requires ongoing medical attention and close monitoring.
Santiago’s mom is a certified nursing assistant (CNA) from Colombia ( where they are currently living). She has all the love and knowledge to care for others, but right now, she can’t work—because her little one needs her by his side in the hospital, day and night. His dad is working hard to support the family on his own, but the emotional and financial weight is too much to carry alone.
This is where you can help.
We are reaching out with open hearts to ask for support for this family. Whether it’s $1, $5, or more, every little bit can help cover medical costs, transportation, food, and basic needs while they navigate this painful time.
Let’s come together to give Santiago the best chance at a healthy future and help his family breathe a little easier. They shouldn’t have to worry about bills while fighting for their baby’s life.
Thank you for your kindness, your prayers, and your support.
With love,
Santiago's parents
