Our beloved Baby Sam, a 6-year-old red Doberman and the pride and joy of our family, was viciously attacked by another dog while on a walk. His chest was ripped open, and what followed has been a heartbreaking and costly nightmare. We rushed Baby Sam to Great Oaks Animal Hospital, where we were charged for pain medication and told to take him somewhere else. That was money we couldn't afford to waste. We then took him to Central Texas Vet, where they stitched him up. We thought he was on the road to recovery. We were wrong. The stitches were done so poorly that they started coming out, and Baby Sam developed a serious infection. Now we're at VEG Emergency in Cedar Park, where he's being sedated so they can reopen his wound, clean out the infection, and properly repair the damage that should have been done right the first time. The medical bills are mounting, and we're asking for help to cover just half of what we're facing. Baby Sam isn't just a pet – he's family. He's my daughter Aries' best friend and my precious granddog. He deserves a chance to heal and come home to the family who loves him. We are so grateful for any amount you can give. Every bit adds up and brings us closer to bringing our boy home healthy. If you can't donate, please share this with others. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. — April & Aries
