Life in the beginning of September for the Cisneros family was good in Hamilton City.  Yes, the pandemic and the fires in Northern California were bad, but they had each other and family.  Roman is an active 13-month-old, who loves Blue’s Clues, Coco Melon, and Bubble Guppies. Then, Baby Roman started to not eat well and was lethargic.  Mariela Vera Cisneros (Mom) began contacting his pediatrician to figure out what was wrong.  The heartbreaking news became apparent,  leading to an immediate transfer to a Sacramento hospital.  Baby Roman was diagnosed with a rare, aggressive form of leukemia, Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).  Mariela and Ricardo immediately took leave from their jobs to be at Baby Roman’s bedside.  Upon arrival in Sacramento, Roman, immediately was given blood transfusions and started on twice a day chemotherapy. The plan is for him to remain in the hospital for 6 months for treatment. 

 With all of the challenges in their lives, we do not want them to have to agonize about the expenses insurance does not cover.  This GoFundMe is to assist this family in being able to stay at Roman’s bedside.

I am a friend of the family, just trying to ease their path.  All funds go directly toward expenses incurred to care for Baby Roman and ensure his parents can remain at his side during this tramatic time.
