Baby Riot Row made his big entrance on November 19th, and things took a scary turn right away. He had to be helicoptered straight to the Children’s Emergency Hospital, where doctors discovered that his esophagus wasn’t connected to his stomach. He went into surgery immediately, and thankfully the procedure was successful.
Even with that good news, Riot still has a long road ahead. He’ll need to stay in the hospital on a feeding tube for a few more weeks while he heals and grows stronger. His parents, Nina and Kris, live an hour away, so they’ve been staying in a hotel near the hospital to be close to him every day.
On top of that, Nina is still recovering from a tough C-section and the trauma of the whole birth experience. With medical bills already piling up—and more sure to come—plus the cost of the hotel and food while they stay by Riot’s side, they could really use some support right now.
If you’re able to help in any way, big or small, it would mean the world to this little family. Thank you so much for the love, support, and good energy sent their way. <3
