My daughter was just born on November 12th. She was deprived of oxygen, broke her collar bone, and has been transported to the NICU. The mother is in the hospital while I am going back and forth from home. Baby is on a ventilator for now while we monitor vitals and for brain damage. Any little bit helps while we struggle with this unexpected medical issue.

Update 1 month in.

Baby sustained a broken clavicle on the left side which has since healed, a brachial plexus injury on the left side which she has recently started moving her hand now, and a paralyzed diaphragm on the right side which is causing her inability to breathe on her own. She is currently on a cpap to assist her with pushing her air in and out of her lung, but this issue has not gotten any better. She has trialed off the cpap twice, but she struggles with pushing the air out of her right lung due to the paralysis. With this injury, our family decided to remove any animals we have from the house before she would be able to come home due to her being at risk of illnesses with her condition. Baby won't be home for Christmas this year and her big sisters are devastated, but they understand that their sister is sick. We're doing our best to keep everything together for our family and we appreciate everything that everyone has done for us.
