My name is Tariro Mharapara. I’m fundraising on behalf of my sister Tanya Mharapara.

On Tuesday 12 August our family welcomed twin boys into the world much earlier than expected. We were overjoyed but quickly faced unimaginable heartbreak.

The older twin, Isaiah, passed away due to severe respiratory distress syndrome. His twin brother, Ramsey Jr., survived but was born weighing only 990 grams (just over 2 pounds). He is currently in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), fighting bravely every single day.

Ramsey Jr. requires around-the-clock specialized care, breathing support, and close monitoring to give him the best chance at survival and a healthy future. The emotional toll has been overwhelming, and the medical expenses are quickly piling up.
