Hello, my name is Kimberly Hadebe, and I am raising funds on behalf of my dear friend Nokuthaba Nkomo and her 1-month-old baby boy, Onalerona Blessing Nyathi.

Shortly after birth, Baby Ona began having difficulty breathing. What we first thought was something minor turned out to be heartbreaking news doctors discovered he has a hole in his heart (a congenital heart defect) and urgently needs life saving surgery.

Unfortunately, this specialized heart surgery is not available locally. Doctors have advised that Baby Ona must travel to India, where the procedure can be performed. The total cost for surgery, hospitalization, medical care, and travel expenses is approximately $15,000.

Baby Ona’s mother is very young, not fully employed, and comes from a difficult background. Despite her strength and love, this cost is far beyond her means.
