For those who don’t know me, I’m Sarah Duque, and I’m sending this link only to my closest friends.

Last Christmas, for my birthday in December, I received a very special gift: a tiny kitten named Nick. He is only four months old and in such a short time he has brought so much joy and light into my life.

Unfortunately, something very unexpected happened last week. While I was away from home, Nick swallowed a very long sewing thread. I wasn’t there, so the thread stayed inside his stomach for a long time and caused serious internal damage. It even cut his stomach and created a hole, and he had to undergo emergency surgery.

When I came back home, I found him completely still. He was in terrible pain, and honestly we thought it might be the end for him.

But Nick is incredibly strong. After a week in intensive care, where we didn’t know if he would survive, he slowly started to recover. Now he is finally back home.

However, this emergency came with very high veterinary costs, completely unexpected. Because of this, I decided to create this GoFundMe and ask my closest friends if they would like to support Nick’s recovery and help with the surgery.

Unfortunately, in Italy animals cannot be insured until they are 6 months, so this situation couldn’t have been covered.

If you feel like helping, even a small contribution would mean a lot to me and to Nick.
