Hi, my name is Shelley Good. Recently, my family and I travelled to Kenya and fell in love with the country and the people, some of whom have become our chosen family - including our good friend Nicholas. On October 24, Nicholas's son Kevin and partner Michelle welcomed their own beautiful son, who they named baby Nicco, after Nicholas.

On December 7th, the family suffered the tragic, heart-felt loss of baby Nicco, and they are now facing huge financial challenges to pay the resulting hospital bill. To add more complication, the baby’s mama, Michelle, is still at the hospital, as the hospital will not allow her to leave without her bill being paid.

The back story - Baby Nicco was born with severe health challenges, but the family remained hopeful. He stayed in the hospital and fought valiantly through surgery and many complications, but eventually lost the fight for his life on December 7th. This beautiful family is devastated…and now, on top of grief, they are dealing with a hospital bill that feels insurmountable.

Please help my family help them pay this hospital bill, which is for a little over 1.85 million KES (Kenyan Shillings). (Approx. 16,400 CAD). Because GoFundMe does not operate in Kenya, it is necessary to collect the funds here, and I will pass them on to Nicholas and his family.
