Nuestra familia está atravesando el momento más difícil de nuestras vidas. Mi dulce sobrina, Marbella nació con Síndrome de Corazón Izquierdo Hipoplásico (HLHS), un defecto cardíaco congénito raro y grave. Ya pasó por su primera cirugía a corazón abierto, el procedimiento Norwood, con apenas unos días de vida. Ha demostrado una gran fortaleza, pero el camino por delante es largo, y necesitará atención médica continua, tratamientos y apoyo.

Sus padres, mi hermano y mi cuñada, han estado a su lado en el hospital día y noche. Mi cuñada aún se está recuperando de una cesárea, pero no ha tenido el tiempo ni el descanso que realmente necesita, ya que toda su energía está enfocada en mantener a su bebé fuerte y luchando. La carga emocional, física y financiera ha sido abrumadora.

Estamos pidiendo ayuda para cubrir gastos médicos, viajes, hospedaje y muchos otros costos que surgen en este camino inesperado. Cada donación, sin importar el tamaño, irá directamente al cuidado de la bebé Marbella dándole la mejor oportunidad de recuperación.

Our family is going through the hardest time we’ve ever faced. My sweet niece, Marbella was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS), a rare and serious congenital heart defect. She has already gone through her first open-heart surgery, the Norwood procedure, at just a few days old. She has been so strong, but the journey ahead is long, and she will need continued medical care, treatments, and support.

Her parents, my brother Alejandro Garibay and sister-in-law, have been by her side in the hospital day and night. My sister-in-law is still recovering from a C-section, but hasn’t had the time or rest she truly needs because their focus has been on keeping their baby girl strong and fighting. The emotional, physical, and financial toll has been overwhelming.

We are asking for help to cover medical expenses, travel, lodging, and the many costs that come with this unexpected journey. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward supporting Baby Marbella’s care and giving her the best chance at recovery.
