On August 17, 2025 sweet Mae joined the Geilman Family in dramatic fashion at just 33 weeks with an unexpected diagnosis of Down syndrome. She is currently in the NICU and has a long, uncertain road ahead of her but she is a fighter and is making great progress. The family is so grateful for the love and kindness of so many. They are so grateful for Mae and the love she has brought into their lives- they are so honored to be her parents.
Baby Mae is currently receiving specialized care in Boise with her loving parents by her side. Their days are filled with hospital time, medical decisions and uncertainty of what lies ahead. At home, their toddler son is being cared for by extended family members, adding another layer of complexity during this overwhelming time.
As Baby Mae grows, she will require ongoing medical support including Occupational Therapy, Speech therapy and Physical Therapy as well as Specialist visits. There is a possibility that she will be affected by cerebral palsy and seizures due to the traumatic birth. The costs are mounting quickly, and the family is doing everything they can to stay strong and provide the best care possible.
We’re asking for your help to ease the financial burden and allow this family to focus on what matters most: loving and supporting their two children through this journey. Every donation, no matter the size, brings hope and relief. If you’re unable to give, sharing this page means the world.
Thank you in advance for standing with Mae and her Family. Your kindness is a light, just like our Mighty Mae.
