Help baby Madu

Meet Madu. A super sweet, affectionate, happy, playful cat who is always curious and super affectionate to his little brother Bulan.

They are both just a year old.

Unfortunately, Madu got sick due to an infection and it was decided that a penis amputation was the best option. The surgery went well and so did the healing but Madu still had to be on antibiotics quite a bit. Madu was happy and lively again as we knew him. Even his lampshade-collar didn't stop him from playing but after a few days he got diarrhea because of the antibiotics. As a result, the antibiotics are not absorbed optimally. Also, the diarrhea caused more bacteria to pass through the -still healing- urethra which only made the infection worse.

A very simple but very expensive solution is to admit Madu to the animal hospital for 14 days. There he is given antibiotics by the doctors through an IV into the bloodstream so that Madu's little stomach stays calm and gets enough nutrients to gain strength, recover properly and his urinary tract can heal normally so he can live a healthy and fun life with his little brother and us at home for at least another 15 years.

His surgery was already very expensive and I would never ask for it if I could afford it but I also can't bare it if because of something as simple as antibiotics I would have to end his young life. Therefore, I ask you for a contribution, big or small to be able to cover the amount of €6850. This consists of 14 days of hospital admissions, ultrasounds, lab tests, medication etc.

Madu is a healthy, lively, playful, and curious kitten who likes to make us and his brother happy for at least another 15 years. Hopefully, together we can make him happy too. Please help. We would be eternally grateful.

Lieve allemaal, Meet Madu. Een superlief, aanhankelijk, vrolijke spring in het veld die altijd nieuwsgierig is en super aanhankelijk naar zijn broertje Bulan. Ze zijn allebei net een jaar. Helaas werd Madu door een ontsteking ziek en werd besloten dat een penisamutatie de beste optie was. De operatie verliep goed en de genezing ook maar Madu moest nog flink aan de antibiotica. Madu was weer vrolijk en levendig zoals we hem kenden. Zelfs zijn lampenkap weerhield hem er niet van om te spelen maar na een paar dagen kreeg hij door de antibiotica diaree en hield hij zijn voeding slecht binnen. De antibiotica werd dus niet optimaal opgenomen, door de diaree komen meer bacteriën langs de nog helende plasbuis waardoor de infectie alleen maar groter werd. Een hele simpele maar zeer kostbare oplossing is om Madu 14 dagen lang in het dierenziekenhuis te laten opnemen. Hij krijgt daar door de artsen antibiotica via een infuus de bloedbaan ingebracht zodat Madu’s maagje rustig blijft en genoeg voedingstoffen binnenkrijgt om aan te sterken, goed te herstellen en zijn urineweg normaal kan genezen om zo nog zeker 15 jaar een gezond en leuk leven te kunnen leiden bij zijn broertje en ons thuis. Zijn operatie was al erg kostbaar en ik zou er nooit om vragen als ik het kon opbrengen maar ik kan het ook niet verkroppen als door zoiets simpels als antibiotica ik zijn jonge leventje zou moeten beëindigen. Dus hierbij vraag ik jullie om een bijdrage, groot of klein om het bedrag van schrik niet, in totaal €6850,- te bekostigen. Dit bestaan uit 14 dagopnamen, echo ’s , lab onderzoek en wat er allemaal bij een ziekenhuis komt kijken. Madu is verder een kerngezond, levenslustig , speels en nieuwsgierig katje die graag nog zeker 15 jaar ons en zijn lieve broertje gelukkig maakt. Hopelijk kunnen wij samen hem ook nog gelukkig maken.
