Help Baby Luca and His Parents Stay Together

Our family is facing an unexpected challenge, and we're hoping you can help.

On Saturday, our daughter Mikayla and her husband Justin welcomed their son Luca into the world—six weeks earlier than planned. Baby Luca was born with VACTERL syndrome, a rare condition that has affected his spine, heart, and kidneys. He came into this world with a curved spine, heart complications, and only one kidney.

Luca is currently receiving round-the-clock care in the NICU at University of Utah Hospital, where he'll need to stay for several more weeks as doctors monitor his condition and help him grow stronger.

The challenge we're facing: Mikayla and Justin live an hour away from the hospital. They want nothing more than to be with their son every single day during these critical early weeks, but the daily drive and the cost of staying nearby is becoming overwhelming.

How you can help: We're raising funds to cover the cost of a local Airbnb rental near the hospital. This would allow Mikayla and Justin to stay close to Luca, be there for his daily care, and ensure he has his parents' love and presence during this vulnerable time.
