Help Baby Kyrine Hope: Support for Medical Care

Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family,

I’m reaching out to share the story of my dear friend Faith and Peter and their little bundle of joy, Kyrine Hope. Their baby is bravely battling Cyanotic Heart Disease, Single Ventricle, Single Inlet with Outlet Truncus Arteriosus Type 2 and She is also Dextrocardia, and they need our help to cover the overwhelming medical expenses.

Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a difference. Together, we can ease their burden and help give Kyrine Hope the best chance at a healthy and happy future.

Please take a moment to read their story and donate if you can. Sharing this post also helps more than you know.

Hi I’m Michael Peter Yambao, Father of Kyrine Hope Yambao.

We first knew Kyrine’s condition exactly on September 1, 2024, just right after the day we had our Gender Reveal for her. From one of the happiest day in our life, to one of our most devastating day. My wife had CAS and we were advised by the doctor to get 2D echo just to be sure, at first, me and my wife doesn’t have a single clue on what’s happening, until I did my own research. It’s mentioned in the conclusion of the CAS that it’s HLHS (Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome) when I read about it, my heart dropped. We went to a Pediacardio to have it checked if the result was accurate, and there we found out that we were told that 80% accurate that it really is HLHS. Unfortunately, it has a 100% mortality rate in the Philippines. Once Kyrine is out, she won’t be able to breathe on her own. She might last for minutes / hours only without surgery.

We were overwhelmed with the news that we just heard and it feels like the whole world is on our backs crushing us slowly.

Fast forward to her delivery, we requested to our OB Gyne if I can be with them inside the Operating Room when she delivers Kyrine, and thankfully our OB is kindhearted to allow me, she even processed the hospital papers for my request. So that, I could at least see our first baby and hold her even just for a second. When Kyrine was delivered, I didn’t hear her cry at all, no movements and the worst thing is she was so pale(her skin was bluish white) I thought that was the first and last time I will ever see my daughter alive.
But GOD GIVEN US A MIRACLE, I was called by the Nursery saying that I can now see Kyrine at NICU, and when I got inside, there I saw my sleeping angel. Doctors told me that if they didn’t saw the 2D echo results, they wouldn’t think that our baby has a CHD. Doctors requested to have another round of 2D echo since it would be more accurate compared to the conclusion when she was still in my wife’s womb. When the results are out, we were told that it is not HLHS, but there were still complications. This was a bit of relief knowing that Kyrine still has a fighting chance.

More good news came as we were told that we would be able to take her home when we get discharged from the hospital. We got the chance to celebrate Christmas and New Year’s with her.
Kyrine was diagnosed with heart condition (Cyanotic Heart Disease, Single Ventricle, Single Inlet with Outlet Truncus Arteriosus Type 2 and She is also Dextrocardia)

She needs to have open Heart Surgery (glenn shunt) by early Feb or March. Depending on how she responds with the given meds by her doctor. Her heart is starting to deteriorate. The meds will keep her valve open. Our doctor mentioned we need to have atleast Php 1 Million to be able to proceed with the surgery. But our savings are exhausted because of the medical equipment our baby needs (Neonatal Pulse Oxymeter, Oxygen Tanks), check ups, prescriptions, labtests and my wife’s delivery (she had an emergency CS due to our baby’s condition)

And now, here we are on our current situation. Our family would like to ask for your prayers and financial help. I will give our bank details but if you have no extra. Your prayers are more than enough to our family. Thank you.

*NOTE: Hi everyone, We removed our numbers in GCASH as the number of scammers calling us is alarmingly increasing since we posted this. They tend to use the name of the sharer and pretend that they are a famous vlogger or someone from the government. They pretend to send us money then suddenly asks for the authentication code from GCASH. Try harder next time scammers, mas matindi yung pangangailangan ng anak namin kesa sainyo
