Hi, My name is Briana. I am Kayla’s sister and baby Kennedy’s auntie. We are looking for support with medical bills and other expenses, and surgery costs to repair the hole in her heart as our sweet girl was born with VSD (Ventricular Septal Defect). She has a medium-sized hole in her heart which makes breathing and eating feel like she is running a marathon.

At 2 weeks old, baby Kenny was taken to the ER for heart failure and there they learned that she had an infection in her tummy that was making her heart rate elevate to dangerous levels. She was then airlifted to Stanford's Children's Hospital and she was in the NICU. She was put on a ventilator and various medications to help her breathe without overworking her heart so her body could fight the infection. Overnight, she had a 30-minute episode (heart arrhythmia) that spiked her heart rate again and she was transferred to the Cardiovascular ICU at Stanford Children’s Hospital where they are working hard to find the best course of treatment to bring Kenny back home.
