Help Baby Kayce's Medical Journey

Donation protected
I am the proud Great Aunt of Kayce, a brave little one in Pennsylvania facing a challenging medical journey. I've created this fundraiser on the behalf of my nephew Lorenzo LaMondie and his girlfriend Trinity Borden, Kayce's parents.

On June 29th Trinity didn't feel baby Kayce moving and got concerned. She tried being active and eating his favorite foods to see if he would start moving. When he didn't, mom and dad went to the hospital to get checked out. While monitoring closely, doctors noticed Kayce's heart rate was dropping too low and too frequently. Due to this, an emergency c-section was needed.

On June 30, 2025 at 12:45am, Kayce Johnathan LaModie was born 4 weeks early at Wellsboro hospital. Unfortunately, when he was born he was not breathing. At just 5lbs 6oz, Kayce underwent CPR. After CPR he was able to breath on his own but with high flow oxygen. His blood sugar was dropping as well and needed to start on dextrose infusions. At this time the decision was made to airlift him to Williamsport hospital where there was a higher level nursery care.

On July 1st, Kayce's oxygen was decreased and feeding tube was removed. Things started to look better for him but then another curve ball happened. His umbilical site became infected. I.V. antibiotics were started but, as time went on, the tissue around his belly button has become necrotic. There is a chance he will be needing surgery so he was then transferred 3 hours away from home in Mansfield PA, to Harrisburg hospital by the NICU team. He will be needing to stay in the hospital for a few more days to be closely monitored with the surgeon on standby incase he will need surgery.

I am raising money to help these new, scared, and loving parents while their baby is in the hospital and for after hospital care. The goal is $3,000. $1,300 will help go towards medical transportation. $1,000 will help with hotel cost, gas, and food while staying so far away from home. $700 will be used for unpaid leave from work while in the hospital. Please consider donating $15 or whatever you are able to spare to help pay for expenses during this stressful time. Whether you have the ability to donate or not, please keep baby Kayce in your prayers. Ask for God to send helping hands to him and his parents.

Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
