Urgent: Little Judah's Fight for Life Against Biliary Atresia

I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart but also with hope. My 2-month-old son, Baby Jhet Judah, has been diagnosed with Biliary Atresia, a rare and life-threatening disease 1/20,000 that affects infants. This condition causes the bile ducts to be blocked or absent, leading to severe liver damage. Without immediate medical intervention, including a liver transplant, his chances of survival are very low. In just a few days, his bilirubin level is at critical level, indicating severe blockage of his bile ducts.

He urgently needs a Kasai procedure this coming Tuesday, June 25th, to assess the damage and attempt to open these ducts. This surgery offers a 33% chance of success, but time is of the essence: it has a much higher success rate when performed before a baby is two months old, and Judah is just a day away from that critical window closing.

If the Kasai procedure isn't successful, Judah will need a liver transplant, a far riskier and more expensive option.

Even at a government hospital, the cost of this preliminary operation alone is 400,000+ THB aside from other charges. Tragically, our work insurance doesn't cover Judah.
