We are Jose & Stephanie Capablanca and this fundraiser is for our Son, Jose.

On May25, 2021, our Son was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is a rare genetic disorder that is characterized by progressive muscle degeneration and weakness.

With the use of steroids, physical therapy and occupational therapy it has been shown to help slow the progression of this disease, control symptoms, improve quality of life and keep those with DMD ambulatory for as long as possible. This disease currently has no cure and is expected to last his entire life. The most amazing thing is Jose is still ambulatory but it will require a lot of care to keep him this way.

Jose is a 3 year old little boy who's smile lights up a room. He has the bubbliest of personalities and a pure heart of Gold. We are determined to not let this disease get the best of our beautiful, loving, Sweet Boy. We are determined to provide our son with the best care, the best doctors and give him the absolute best life possible.

Lastly as we face this long life battle,  We ask you as  parents we ask you to lift our Son in prayer as with God we know Miracles happen and all things are possible.
