Hello, my name is Onassi Cortés, and I’m the mother of Isaí, a beautiful 3-month-old baby who is going through the most difficult fight of his young life. This campaign comes from a place of pain, but also from love, faith, and hope — hope that we are not alone.
Isaí was diagnosed with hypertrophic pyloric stenosis, a condition that blocks food from passing from the stomach into the intestines. Just weeks after birth, he began vomiting everything he ate and quickly started losing weight. We were terrified.
He had to undergo emergency surgery, but sadly, serious complications followed, requiring him to go back into surgery a second time. His recovery has been painful and slow.
Just days later, doctors discovered another issue in his digestive system. A third surgery is now needed — as soon as his body is strong enough to handle it.
⚠️ Negligence, Malnutrition & Anemia
Before all this, Isaí was a victim of medical negligence and delayed care, which led to chronic malnutrition and severe anemia. His little body is fighting with all the strength it has to survive.
Our Economic Reality
Since this began, I have dedicated myself entirely to Isaí’s care. I am currently unemployed, and my husband — Isaí’s father — lost his job in the middle of all this. We now have no income and are overwhelmed by the mounting medical, travel, and daily living expenses.
Why We’re Asking for Your Help
Any donation — no matter how small — would be a ray of light during this dark time. All funds will go toward: Hospital stays and medical treatments
Medications, supplements, and special nutrition
Isaí’s upcoming third surgery
Post-operative exams and follow-ups
Transportation to hospitals and specialists
Basic survival needs (rent, utilities, food)
Isaí Deserves a Chance
Isaí is a little warrior. He has endured more in three months than most people do in a lifetime. All we want is to give him a chance to grow up healthy, to laugh, to play, to live a full life.
If you cannot donate, please share this campaign. Every share, every prayer, every word of encouragement matters.
Thank you for reading our story, for your heart, and for standing with us in this fight.
With love and hope,
Onassi Cortés – Isaí’s Mom
