Support for Baby Isabella and the Ludwig Family
Hello, my name is Jacob and my brother and his wife are Nathan and Jessica Ludwig. Early in the morning, after 14 hours of labor, Nathan and Jessica welcomed their beautiful rainbow baby, Isabella Lily Ludwig, into the world. But what should have been a joyful moment quickly turned into a medical emergency.
Due to a sudden and unexpected placental abruption, Jessica was rushed into an emergency C-section. Baby Isabella was taken immediately to the NICU, where she began receiving critical care within minutes of her birth.
Just hours later, doctors determined Isabella needed to be transferred to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital for more advanced monitoring and treatment. They were, and are continuing to watch for signs of an infection or brain injury caused by reduced blood flow. She’s undergoing therapeutic hypothermia—a cooling treatment designed to protect her brain—and is expected to remain under close observation for several more days.
Despite the incredibly difficult start, there’s reason for hope. Early test results have been encouraging: Isabella’s brain ultrasound looked good, the EEG showed no signs of seizures, and doctors are optimistic. An MRI will follow once she completes treatment and is stable enough. In the meantime, Jessica is still recovering and has not yet been able to hold her baby girl.

Why We're Asking for Help
As you can imagine, this sudden medical crisis comes with significant costs—including:
- Emergency C-section and postpartum hospital care
- NICU stays at two hospitals
- Ambulance transfer for Isabella
- Travel and time off work
The Ludwigs do have insurance, but it won’t cover all of these unexpected expenses. Both Nathan and Jessica work in ministry, faithfully serving others, and they live modestly. This support will help them stay focused on Isabella's healing without being overwhelmed by financial stress.

Our Fundraising Goal
We’ve set a goal of $15,000—an amount we believe will significantly ease the financial burden during this time. Their total medical bills could ultimately exceed this amount, but reaching this goal would provide real and immediate relief with uncovered expenses, transportation costs, and time away from work.

How You Can Help
1. Donate – Every dollar goes directly to the Ludwig family.
2. Share – Please help spread the word and share this page.
3. Pray – Your prayers for healing, peace, and strength mean more than we can express.
During this time, Nathan and Jessica's faith and trust remain rooted in the Lord, and they have already seen how He has had His hand of protection over both of them and Isabella.
Thank you for supporting the Ludwigs through one of the most vulnerable and sacred moments of their lives. We'll post updates as Isabella continues to grow stronger.
With love and gratitude,
