Our daughter, Isabel Marie Coe, is expected to be born in January. She has been diagnosed with Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) — a rare and life-threatening condition where the diaphragm does not form completely, allowing abdominal organs to move into the chest and preventing her lungs from developing properly.
Because of this, Isabel will need immediate surgery right after birth in order to breathe, and she will spend several weeks in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) under close medical care.
We have been advised to travel to Seattle before her birth so doctors can begin specialized monitoring and preparations. Once she is born, she will be transferred to a high-level hospital for surgery and post-surgical treatment.
The entire process — including pre-birth monitoring, the surgery itself, and her recovery — is expected to last around three months in Seattle.
As parents, John and Aída, we are doing everything we can to give our baby girl the best possible chance at life. However, the medical expenses, travel, temporary housing, and living costs during this period are overwhelming.
Your support will help us focus on Isabel’s healing and recovery. Every donation, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to seeing our little girl breathe on her own for the very first time.
We are deeply grateful for your financial help, prayers, and kind thoughts for our family and for the recovery of our precious Isabel Marie.
With love and gratitude,
