Hi I'm Hannah Mae Seeley
At just two days old, it was discovered that I experienced a brain injury called HIE (Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy) — a condition that occurs when the brain doesn’t get enough oxygen and blood flow. This went undetected for two days, leading to severe hypoglycemia, and further brain injury.
These kind of brain injuries could someday effect my movement, learning, vision, and more — but unfortunately the full impact of my brain injury won't be known for months or even years.
My mom and dad are the best and taking me on a trip to New Orleans to receive Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) with Dr. Harch who is the world leader in this treatment. HBOT uses pressurized oxygen to help heal brain tissue, encouraging recovery and developmental progress in children like me.
Due to this advance treatment my family will be out $38,000 USD (roughly $53,000 CAD) that's a lot of money.
If you would like to donate to my treatment, any amount even $20 would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for reading my story
Hannah ❤️
