Help Baby Gio come home to his loving family

Donation protected
Hi everyone,

My name is Ghinelle, and I’m reaching out for my dear friends, Fiel and Arielle, whose newborn baby, Baby Gio, is fighting to breathe in the hospital right now.

Fiel and Arielle are some of the most responsible and hardworking people I know. They got married first, saved carefully, and were ready to welcome their little bundle of joy. Just one month after their wedding, they were blessed with Baby Gio. Here are some photo's of their journey from marriage to having their first baby, baby Gio.

They were such a responsible couple—Arielle worked up until two days before giving birth as a travel agent. Fiel, on the other hand, had been struggling for almost a year to find work after losing his job as a Software QA. During that time, he took on small errand jobs just to get by. By God’s grace, he was recently rehired as a Software QA, but he hasn’t started yet, which means no paycheck is coming in at this critical time.

They saved ₱80,000 ($1,430 USD) for Arielle’s delivery and were able to cover her bill perfectly—it actually came out to ₱40,000 ($715 USD), leaving a little bit of extra for the family. But Baby Gio’s medical situation was completely unexpected. He was diagnosed with Respiratory Distress, a common but serious complication, and he also swallowed meconium during birth, which made things worse.

Baby Gio has been on strong antibiotics, and the doctors had to switch medicines when the first one didn’t work. Some of the medicines he’s receiving include:

  • AMPICILLIN (VATACIL) 250mg Vial
  • CEFOTAXIME (CLADEX) 1g Vial Powder for Injection
  • CEFEPIME (CEPIRAM) 1g Vial Powder for Injection
  • AMIKACIN (AMIKACIDE) 250mg Amp

These are not simple medicines—they need careful hospital care and close monitoring. He still needs 7 more days in the hospital, and the bills are already ₱150,000 ($2,680 USD) for the first 7 days. To put that in perspective, ₱150,000 is what many families in the Philippines might save in 5 years. It’s almost impossible for them to cover this on their own.

Arielle earns ₱30,000 ($535 USD) before taxes, leaving her with about ₱21,000–24,000 ($375–$430 USD) take-home, and Fiel used to earn ₱50,000 ($895 USD) before deductions, leaving him roughly ₱35,000–40,000 ($625–$715 USD) net. Even together, their income is modest, and this medical crisis is way beyond what they could have prepared for.

Fiel and Arielle are loving, responsible parents who did everything right. They saved, planned, and worked hard—but sometimes life throws us challenges bigger than what we can carry alone. That is why I am doing this, humbly asking for your help. Baby Gio needs us to finish his treatment, recover fully, and finally come home with his loving family.

Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly to his hospital bills. On behalf of Fiel and Arielle, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your support can make the difference between Gio staying in the hospital longer or coming home to the family that loves him so much.

We are hoping to raise ₱300,000 ($5,360 USD) to cover Baby Gio’s medical care.
