Hi, my name is Angeliki and I’m raising funds to save my dog Baby’s life.

Baby is my 7-year-old rescue — my best friend, my shadow, and the sweetest soul I’ve ever known. I adopted her from a rescue when she was just a baby, and I’ve loved her every single day since. She’s the dog who has been there for me through every struggle, every heartbreak, every moment of joy. She is family.

Two days ago, Baby suddenly lost her balance and couldn’t walk. After rushing her to emergency specialists and doing an MRI, we received heartbreaking news: Baby has a brain tumor located deep near the back of her head. Surgery is not possible.

But there is hope — she is a strong candidate for radiation therapy, and her oncologist feels extremely confident that radiation can help her, give her more time, improve her mobility, and bring her back to a better quality of life.

The cost of her treatment plan is $12,700, which includes the full course of radiation and related medical care. I would do anything for Baby, and I’m giving everything I can — but I cannot come up with this amount fast enough on my own. I am humbly asking for help from animal lovers, rescue advocates, and anyone who has ever loved a pet like family.

I’ve always been an animal advocate and have rescued and helped many dogs over the years. Now I’m asking for help to save my rescue — the one who saved me more times than she knows.

Baby was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor centered at the back of her head, near the cerebellum and brainstem. Over the past week she has suddenly lost her ability to walk normally, developed tremors, vomiting, and weakness — symptoms that terrified me and sent us straight to the emergency hospital.

After an MRI at Oradell Animal Hospital, the neurologist confirmed she has a tumor that cannot be removed surgically. The only treatment that can save her life and give her more quality time is radiation therapy.

The radiation oncologist examined her and said Baby is a strong candidate and that treatment would very likely help her, but the cost is more than I can handle alone. The full radiation plan is $12,700, not including the medications, MRI, emergency visits, and follow-ups that I’ve already been paying out of pocket.

I’ve rescued dogs my whole life, and Baby came to me as a tiny abandoned puppy. For 7 years she has been my family, my emotional support, and the one constant source of love in my life. Seeing her struggle to walk or stand breaks my heart, and I’m doing everything I can to get her the treatment that could save her.
