My name is Dunia Rivas, and I live in Nicaragua. On January 6, 2021, I took my 2 month old son (Elias Valverde) to daycare because I had to work. I got a call at 10 am from the daycare telling me that my son had been taken to the hospital. When I arrived there, I found him intubated as a result of spending at least 40 minutes without oxygen. He was diagnosed with bronchial aspiration that was not treated correctly, the consequences being fatal: blindness, deafness, immobility, and frequent convulsions due to brain damage. He has spent the past year in a vegetative state. Since that unfortunate day, my mom and I have both quit our jobs and take turns taking care of him all day in the hospital - 7 days a week. I have the deep desire to take him home and care for him there, but I do not have the means nor supplies to do so. This is why I am asking that you consider donating to my page if you are willing to spread my need on your social networks with your friends and organizations that could potentially help me. I need the financial means (around $50,000) to cover the following:
1. TWO 8000 liter oxygen tanks
2. Ventilator Support System
3. Portable mechanical fan with compressor
4. Review of the electrical system of the home
5. Portable vacuum cleaner
6. Preheat fan circuit
7. Humidifying waterfall
8. Anti-bedsore mattress with waterproof cover
9. Tracheostomy tube guide
10. Suction probes
11. Tracheostomy tape
12. Gastrostomy tube
13. Saturated meter
14. Spacer chamber
15. Smoothie Bags
16. Voltage stabilizer
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and thank you for any help that you give through money, sharing this page or just a prayer for my baby Elias, etc. I deeply appreciate you.
