Deangelo and Talia Rolle welcomed their baby boy, Dylan, into the world far earlier than expected. Born premature, Dylan has been fighting for his life since his very first breath. From the moment he arrived, he has been unable to breathe on his own. He has spent every day of his life on a ventilator at Princess Margaret Hospital in Nassau as doctors work tirelessly to understand what is causing his respiratory failure.
Despite multiple tests, procedures, and the dedication of the medical team, there are still no clear answers. In just a few short weeks of life, Dylan has endured more than most adults ever will—two blood transfusions, continuous ventilator support, and a series of medical complications that have left his parents devastated, exhausted, and seeking solutions.
What makes this even more heartbreaking is that time is not on Dylan’s side. His tiny body needs specialized care that is not currently available here in The Bahamas. His condition requires immediate evaluation by a neonatal and neurological team equipped to diagnose and treat complex respiratory disorders in premature infants.
After exhausting every local option, the Rolle family has finally found a hospital in Colombia that is willing to accept Dylan’s case. The medical team there believes they may be able to identify the underlying issue and give Dylan a fighting chance at survival.
But there is one major obstacle: He must be airlifted, and the receiving hospital requires a significant upfront payment to begin the process.
The family does have insurance, but due to the complexity and risk of this case, several hospitals have requested millions of dollars upfront, an impossible amount for them to secure. The Colombian hospital is offering a far more affordable option, but it is still well beyond what the family can cover on their own.
Deangelo and Talia are loving, devoted parents who have been living every parent’s nightmare, watching their newborn struggle to survive without the answers or resources they need. They have not left his side. They have prayed, hoped, and held on through every alarm, every procedure, every moment of uncertainty.
Now, they are turning to their community, family, and anyone who is willing to help save their son.
