My name is Desmond, and I am reaching out for help as my fiancé, Morgan, and I navigate an unexpected and challenging chapter in our lives. We recently moved back to the area where I grew up, hoping to start fresh and build a future for our family. We spent all of our savings to make this move, believing we had time to settle in and prepare for the arrival of our son, Desmond, who was due in late June. But life had other plans, and our baby decided to come into the world four months early, catching us completely off guard.

Since Desmond’s premature birth, Morgan and I have been out of work, spending every moment at the hospital to be by his side. The emotional toll has been immense, but the financial strain is even greater. Our son has faced multiple blood transfusions and requires constant 24-hour specialized care. We haven’t even been able to hold him yet, and our visits are limited, which has been incredibly difficult for us as parents. We are facing enormous medical bills and general expenses that would have otherwise been covered in the months leading up to his due date. With no time to prepare and our immediate family living far away, we are struggling to afford these bills and keep up with daily needs.
