Help Baby Cyrus Through Life-Saving Heart Surgery

Hi everyone,

My name is Sarah, and I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my sister Sindi and her fiancé Joel.

Their sweet 6-month-old baby boy, Cyrus, is scheduled to undergo a life-saving heart surgery on June 12th to repair a Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD)—a condition where there’s a hole in the wall separating the heart’s lower chambers.

Cyrus may be in the hospital for up to 10 days, and his recovery is expected to take around 6 weeks. During this time, Sindi and Joel will be by his side every step of the way, putting work and everything else on hold to care for their baby.

This fundraiser will help cover the many expenses they’ll face—gas, lodging, food, and any unexpected costs that come with being away from home and focused entirely on Cyrus’s healing. Their 6 1/2-year-old daughter, Clairnessa, is also navigating this difficult time as she worries about her baby brother.
