Hi everyone, This is the story of our sweet, silly cat, Blueberry. Blueberry was born deaf, but that never stopped him from living life to the fullest. He’s always been a little chaotic—in the best way. He’s funny, stubborn, and endlessly curious. He makes our home brighter every single day. But three days ago, our world turned upside down. Blueberry went missing inside the house. We searched everywhere—under beds, in closets, behind furniture—nothing. On the third night, we finally heard a faint cry coming from the vents around the house. Somehow, Blueberry had crawled into the water heater and become completely stuck in a narrow and sharp space. He was trapped there, silently, for three days, until he could do nothing but cry. After hours and hours of searching... We pulled him out carefully, but he was limp and weak. His legs wouldn’t move. The vets recommended advanced tests—etc, but without the fund to help him, our best option is to end his suffering by putting him down. Reality is, we simply can’t afford the cost of care on our own. The past bills are already overwhelming, and we’re terrified of having to make decisions based on money instead of love. Blueberry is still with us. He slightly moved his head when we pet him. He blinks at us from his blanket in the living room. He’s fighting, in his own quiet way. We love him more than words can say. He’s not “just a cat.” He’s family. He’s brought us so much joy, comfort, and laughter—and now we want to give him the chance to heal. We’re asking for help to cover Blueberry’s medical costs and give him the treatment he needs to (hopefully) live normally again. Every single donation, share, and kind word means the world to us.
