Help Baby Azlaan Build a Safe Future

On 25th February 2025, our lives changed forever. Our beautiful baby boy, Azlaan, was born after repeated failings by the Bradford Royal Infirmary during labour.

Warning signs were missed. Urgent concerns were ignored. Delays meant Azlaan was left fighting for his life. When he was finally delivered, he was born with no heartbeat and had to be resuscitated for a prolonged time.

As a result, Azlaan was diagnosed with Grade 3 Hypoxic Ischaemic Encephalopathy (HIE), the most severe form of brain injury caused by oxygen deprivation. This has left him with permanent, catastrophic brain damage.

Azlaan is just 6 months old, but his future has already been shaped by mistakes that should never have happened. He now has complex, lifelong disabilities and will require 24-hour care for the rest of his life.

The Impact on Our Family

This tragedy has not only changed Azlaan’s life but has shattered ours as a family.

Every day and night, we are by his side, supporting him through every struggle, every moment of care, every medical need. We love him with all our hearts, but the emotional, physical, and financial toll is enormous.

The dreams we had for Azlaan, of watching him grow, play, and live freely, have been stolen from us. Instead, our lives now revolve around ensuring he has the care and dignity he deserves.

Why We’re Asking for Your Help

The reality is heartbreaking: it will cost an extraordinary amount to give Azlaan even the basics of a safe and decent life.

He urgently needs:

• A suitable, accessible home that can be adapted to his needs as he grows

• Specialist equipment like a hospital bed, seating, and mobility aids

• Home adaptations such as a wet-room, hoists, and widened doorways

• Ongoing therapy and care to help him live with dignity and comfort

• We as parents are no longer able to work as we’re providing 24/7 care for our son and due not being able to work it is financially crippling the family and makes it very difficult provide for the family and Azlaan.

Every donation will go directly towards giving Azlaan the future he deserves, one filled with safety, love, and hope, instead of daily struggles.
