On July 2nd, our family welcome baby Ashur into this world. He came into this world as sweet as can be, full of life and hope. However, just days after leaving the hospital, we noticed something wasn’t right. Ashur was rapidly losing weight and becoming weaker by the day.

After rushing him to the hospital, doctors discovered that Ashur’s small intestine wasn’t functioning. He has since been placed on TPN and IV nutrition to keep him alive. Through further testing, we learned that Ashur has one of the rarest diseases in the world—Microvillous Inclusion Disease (MVID). This devastating condition is often fatal in infants if not detected early, and while we are grateful it was caught, his journey is only just beginning.

Our family is doing everything humanly possible to ensure Ashur has the best chance at life. This means long hospital stays, ongoing medical treatments, and exploring every possible option—from specialized medications to clinical trials and even potential gene therapy. Unfortunately, the reality is that these lifesaving measures come with enormous costs.

We are humbly asking for support to help fund Ashur’s medical care and treatment plan. Every contribution—no matter the size—will directly help give Ashur a fighting chance at life and allow our family to focus on what matters most: helping him heal.
