Please Help Baby Aria and Family.

Hello, you all know I became a new Grandma (Lovey) May 30th, Jayciana and Sergio became new parents to sweet baby Aria. Everyone instantly fell head over heels in love w her, she is the sweetest most precious baby girl. The three of them went home Saturday all ready to settle into their new routine. Sunday they had to return to the hospital to check her bilirubin levels, which came back high enough to be readmitted for photo therapy. While there she spiked a fever, had elevated white blood cells which all warranted for blood cultures and a spinal tap to look for infection. So far everything has come back negative for that. Her potassium level was low so she received fluids with potassium for replacement, which has brought the level back up. Her hemoglobin was low so she also received a blood transfusion, which did help w that also. She even got to come off the lights! So we are thinking shes’s closer to going home but then they noticed her abdomen was distended, so an ultrasound was done that showed a large mass above her left kidney. Next step MRI to view the mass better. Confirmed 4cmx4cmx4cm tumor that needs a biopsy. She was transferred to Rush University in Chicago where she awaits her plan of care from her new medical team. On the scan, they are thinking Neuroblastoma vs Wilm’s Tumor. Both malignant. But one positive is these types of tumors normally aren’t found until the child is 1-2 years old. Treatment and length of stay is depending on Stage and diagnosis after biopsy. Of course, we pray for a miracle that it is benign.

If you know Sergio, you know he is one of hardest working and dedicated men there is. The plan was for him to continue working both of his jobs while Jayciana was off on unpaid maternity leave. He will not be returning to work as quickly as anticipated, which is also an unpaid leave of absence. I am asking for financial help for this beautiful new family for their monthly bills, medical bills, gas and food. They have enough on their plate as is, I would love to take some of the financial burden from them.
