When I moved away from France three years ago, I had to leave one of my very best friends, Babette, behind. Babette is truly special: she is smart, funny, loyal, and kind, and I have missed her so much during our separation. Many of you know that I left France after getting a divorce, but you may not know that frequently in situations like mine, pets represent an important mental health resource. I have been without mine for years, and it is time for us to be reunited.

Since returning to the United States, I have been tirelessly trying to get myself back on my feet while tying up administrative loose ends in France from afar. It has been a lot of hard work, but I am finally in a place where I am ready to welcome Babette to her new American home.

International pet relocation is pricey for an individual, but it is possible with help from my community. The amount I am asking for is to ensure that Babette's voyage is safe, comfortable, and quick.
