Help Baba Wain to recover & reopen the drum school
Donation protected
Dear friends and family, I’m sending out this message to ask for a personal donation of $15.00 or more, for a great humanitarian, my brother E W Wainwright aka “Baba Wain”. His second heart attack in 2019, has limited E W to volunteering and work very limited consulting hours. Also his failing health and eye sight has led to the closing of his AROJ Youth drummers school. Your support is needed for his medical bills, rental of a studio space for the drummers, and living expenses .
The AROJ Youth Drummers School gave neighborhood kids an activity alternative vs the streets. Baba WAIN hopes to lease a new studio, and acquire drums, percussion instruments, and uniforms for student performances once the school reopens
Once voted “Hero of the Year” by KQED-TV, gives way to those who know E W, that if you ask for a shirt, he will give you the “one off of his back” to help you. E W has donated food, water, and his time to the many homeless in the bay area, and orchestrated many free music events in coordination with the PARKS and RECREATION department. Before his health failed, E W spent most of his time using the creativity and discipline of music to help kids and adults alike stay on the “right track”, through the African Roots of Jazz Performing Arts Academy. Also E W has held drum sessions in the California “ ARTS in CORRECTIONS PROGRAM” educating the inmates confined in the justice system.
E W walks in the light of the “Most Highest Spirit” and prays that your personal donation of $15.00 or more will help him recover financially and help to reopen the AROJ Youth Drum School and fulfill his dream of “One man’s struggle to preserve the Heritage of his Culture”.
Most sincere Peace and Blessings to your Spirit
